To our customers,
After many years in business, I regret to inform you that the Executive Board of Discount Data Products, Inc. has decided to close the business at the end of this fiscal year, 12/31/2011. The reasoning behind the closure is declining sales over the last 3 years due to the economy, as well as the diminishing needs of the product we manufacture in today’s elevator equipment. The relays and accessories we manufacture have been labeled obsolete by many over the last few years, resulting in less of a need in the elevator market. There will always be a need for small quantity repair, but the amount does not warrant enough to purchase new tooling to maintain the business.
If there are open invoices against your account with us, I know you will take due diligence in paying the open invoices as previously agreed, as always.
I do apologize for the short notice, but these actions have just recently been decided. As of 12/31/2011, the phones will be turned off.
